Fees + Insurance

Counseling requires an investment of your time, emotional energy, and finances. It is important to consider how you would like to pay for counseling sessions. You may be able to use your health insurance. If I am unable to accept your particular plan, you may choose to pay out of pocket and submit a receipt to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. When verifying your mental health coverage, be sure to ask about your deductible/copay/coinsurance as well as any limitation on number of sessions allowed. Please note insurance companies require a clinical diagnosis for reimbursement, and insurance companies sometimes review files and treatment progress.

Choosing to pay out of pocket for your counseling sessions means you will have control of the frequency and duration of counseling sessions. Your file will never be shared with an insurance company, and you will have the ability to seek counseling without meeting criteria for a mental health diagnosis.

30-minute consultations are complementary. Intake sessions are $150 and subsequent sessions are $125. Group sessions are $30. Kindly give 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations. You are responsible for paying the session fee in the event of a missed appointment or late cancellation- exceptions apply for emergencies and illness.

I am able to accept the following health insurance plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • United Healthcare
  • PreferredOne
  • Medica
